Joanna receives West Coast Music Award Nomination!
Exciting news! Joanna's latest album, Kaleidoscope, has just been nominated for Urban Recording of the Year. Its a well-earned nomination for this talented lady, who penned the album and co-produced it with her friends at The Station Recording Company, Craig Newnes and Spencer Cheyne. The album has received rave reviews from BamaLoveSoul.com, Splinters & Candy, and The Next 2 Shine, and has hit #9 on the National Jazz Charts on Earshot! Magazine, and numerous Top 10 charts on radio stations across Canada.

This nomination arrives a week before Joanna's trip to Toronto, where she will be showcasing at the Toronto Jazz Festival on June 26th. Following her showcase, she returns home for another concert with her 6-piece band at the Ironwood Stage and Grill on June 30th, presented by Jazz YYC.
Thanks for everyone's vote at the Western Canadian Music Awards! I didn't win this year but I've always felt that it has been a true priviledge and honour to be recognized by my peers in the industry and receive a nomination for something. Congratulations to DiRTY Radio, the winners of the Urban Recording of the Year category, and to all my fellow nominees: Nuela Charles, Masia One and Raghav!
